Barry’s Bootcamp, the international fitness phenomenon which pioneered the boutique fitness sector in the UK since launching in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, 20 years ago, is set to open its first UK studio outside of London this November.

Housed in the ABC Buildings, part of Allied London’s 17-acre St. John’s development, Barry’s Manchester will be part of a new cluster known as ‘Enterprise City’ which is purpose built for the creative, media and tech industries.

The new studio will open its doors next month, with specific dates and further information to follow.

Sandy Macaskill, co-owner of Barry’s Bootcamp UK, says: “We’re massively excited to be bringing Barry’s here to Manchester. This city is a by byword for strength of spirit and charter, gritty determination and community togetherness. These are just the kind of traits we see in our Barry’s clients around the world, so we really couldn’t think of a better place than Manchester to grow our family. It was really just a case of finding the right place, and as soon as we saw the ABC building we were like, sign us up! Allied’s vision for the area is very much aligned with our own, and now we just can’t wait to open up and get the classes started”.

Rochelle Silverstein, Associate Retail & Leisure director at Allied London, commented; “We’re so excited to welcome Barry’s as our first leisure tenant to open at ABC and Enterprise City. Barry’s is really raising the bar for Manchester’s health and wellness offer; bringing an incredible product to the market that we know the city will embrace. We’re committed to working with high quality and innovative operators, and we’re now well on our way with curating a great mix of activity at ABC and the wider St. John’s.”
