A 32 year old motorcyclist was killed in the early hours of this morning in the Kearskey area of Salford.
Alan Paul Birch was taken to hospital after he collided with a wall on Pilkington Road just after midnight this morning but sadly died shortly afterwards
Police have now launched an investigation.
PC Paul Shore from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “My heart goes out to Alanpaul’s family and friends at this unbelievably difficult time. Our specialist support officers are doing all that they can to support them.
“We have launched an investigation and we are hoping that witnesses will come forward and tell us what they have seen. We would particularly like to hear from anyone with any dash-cam footage.”
