It’s back to business for Belle Vue when they resume their Premiership campaign at Swindon this Thursday, July 13, and they’re targeting an encore of their last performance at the Abbey Stadium.

It was only their second meeting of the season when the Rentruck Aces last made the journey south to Blunsdon and they charged to a brilliant 44-46 win, holding off a late Robins resurgence.

Since then, team boss Alun Rossiter has made a handful of changes in order to boost his side’s top four hopes, the most recent addition being 23-year old Tobiasz Musielak in place of Dany Gappmaier.

Fresh off his fantastic Speedway World Cup debut, British No.2, Steve Worrall, is looking forward to returning to his old stomping ground and is confident his side with present a powerful challenge.

He said: “Over the last two seasons, we’ve developed quite a good track record around Swindon. We’ve had one really good win there this year and with our away form I believe we can do it again.

“On a personal level, it’s a track I really like racing. I had a brilliant season there in 2014 so I’m really looking forward to Thursday’s meeting. But it’s not going to be easy against their revamped side.

“Jason Doyle and Nick Morris are riders of international calibre and Zach Wajtknecht is the new British U-19 champion, and only this week Tobiasz Musielak was announced as their new No.2.

“It’s clear to see that Alun Rossiter means business, but having spent the Speedway World Cup with the likes of myself and Craig Cook he knows what we’re made of and exactly what we’re capable of.

“No matter what challenge Swindon throw at us, our game plan is always to win. We’ve maintained top spot through the World Cup and we now want to extend that lead with a win on Thursday.”

The return leg of this mouth-watering clash takes place at Manchester’s National Speedway Stadium just 24 hours later on Friday, July 14. Tickets are available online at www.bellevueaces.co
