18 year old Stockport prodigy Rory Wynne, has announced his self-titled debut album; ‘RORY WYNNE – LP’.

After a busy first half of 2017 touring with Blossoms and Cabbage on the NME Awards Tour and playing a handful of festivals Wynne decided to take the second half off to focus on writing and solidifying his ‘Pop Rock’ sound which powers through the whole record.

Recorded and mixed in just 2 weeks at Wynne’s studio in Stockport the LP features 8 brand new songs including ‘Friends’ which premiered on Radio X with John Kennedy. The record is very much a DIY album with Wynne producing every song and playing every instrument with his signature vocals driving every song into the next.

On the choice to only include 8 songs he said “to me it was a simple decision, personally I’d rather listen to a 25 minute album with 8 songs I hadn’t heard before than an 45 minute album with 12 songs including 5 singles that’d already been released – it’s more digestible for the listener in a single-orientated world.”

Having had his catchy, edgy pop songs championed by the likes of BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music, Radio X, BBC Introducing Manchester and many more this is the first time Wynne has compiled his tunes into anything larger than an EP and it doesn’t disappoint.

With the experience gained from the NME Tour, Festivals and a huge outdoor date at Manchester’s ‘Castlefield Bowl’ Wynne can’t wait to return to the stage: “It’s where I belong and feel at home” he said.

He will be playing a special album release party show at Jimmy’s in Manchester on the 10th April where he’ll play the record in full as well as a handful of old songs with the show finishing at midnight when the album will drop.
